Partners

The EU-ACT consortium currently comprises 24 partners from 13 countries (The Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Greece, Spain, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Israel). CLIN-Net, LAB-Net and STAT-Net are led by key European, world-leading experts with extensive research experience in the field of ARB. They are well-qualified and have widely published on clinical trials in first ranked, peer-reviewed journals. All have made major contributions to controlling and treating antimicrobial resistant bacteria through international research collaborations and participation in large scale, flagship initiatives. Implementation beyond academia has been a hallmark of their approach. The senior investigators leading this proposal bring together complementary strengths in clinical microbiology, infectious disease epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, antibiotic stewardship, clinical research, quantitative analysis, medical ethics and public health. The collaborating institutions are internationally recognized for their leadership in these areas. Moreover, the senior investigators have already been working together on different research projects.
